Man develops portable shower for his mother

Shared by Ana Duarte on 2016-09-01 16:31

About the solution

Since it was hard for him to get his mother on the shower, who was afraid of getting wet, he invented a portable shower. He later found out that this solution can also help other people.

"If you're disabled and you're a vet, the first thing you want to do when you get out of the hospital is take a shower. But we're not prepared to take care of vets coming home with a missing leg (or something like that). This makes the transition a whole lot easier", the inventor explained.

The device can be used anywhere and doesn’t require assembly or construction. The system can be set up anywhere where there is access to warm water. It can be used also by people who have difficulties in getting into the bathtub or shower.

The product can be bought online, and has several models.

According to Larry, it wasn’t very hard to build the device. "It all comes back to what little skills I got from shop class", he said.
